Earle Creek Barge Offloading Ramp

Located alongside the powerful currents of the Skookumchuck Narrows, this complex marine infrastructure project required extensive coordination, precision fabrication, and challenging on-site installation.

Using a converted BC Ferries ramp, our team completed a full retrofit to align the ramp, pilings, counterweight system, and head sheaves into a fully functioning offloading system. Working both from shore and from a fabrication barge, we manufactured and welded all custom components required to support and install the 100-foot by 16-foot ramp structure.

With extreme tidal movement, narrow installation windows, and the use of two 300-ton cranes, execution on site demanded careful planning and exact precision. From engineering coordination through final installation, Ruggedline delivered a durable marine access system built to perform for decades to come.
